Join Our Team as Assistant Company Controller!

The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Company Controller to join our accounting and finance team in Perham, MN . In this role, you will work closely with our lead Company Controller to ensure smooth financial operations, accurate reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. You’ll be an essential part of the team, helping to maintain our company’s financial health and support strategic decision-making.

Starting Salary : $60,000 to $70,000 annually
Schedule : 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday 
Location : Onsite, Perham office

What You’ll Do:

• Help manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Assist in preparing real-time financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with payroll administration, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
• Maintain financial records, ensure security and compliance with GAAP/tax regulations
• Collaborate with department heads on budget preparation and financial insights
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency

Skills and Qualifications:
Education: associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, including accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.
Technical Skills: proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools. Experience with Business Central and an electronic payroll system is a huge plus!
Soft Skills: strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to confidentiality.
