Position exists in Environmental Services at Porterville Developmental Center. Under the direction of the Custodian Supervisor II, the incumbent plans, organizes, and supervises the housekeeping work involved in the care, cleaning, and maintenance of buildings interiors and exteriors. Gives instructions and training to janitorial services staff and performs and assists with janitorial tasks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in the duty statement.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Ongoing interaction with clients, personnel and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment. Position requires standing, sitting, lifting, bending and stooping.Selected candidates are subject to special requirements. This position is required to complete a medical evaluation.
