Job Title: Epic Clarity/ Caboodle Analyst

Location: 100% Remote

Job Summary:

The Senior Data Pipeline Analyst plays a key role in the lifecycle of healthcare analytics initiatives by gathering, analysing, and translating business and clinical requirements into actionable data solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in healthcare data, especially Epic's Clarity and Caboodle, and a proven ability to collaborate with analytics developers, finance, and clinical stakeholders to ensure that data solutions support strategic operational goals. The analyst will independently lead efforts to gather requirements, document business rules, map data sources, and translate needs into robust technical specifications. They will be responsible for validating the alignment of delivered data with business needs and documenting both metadata and process flows. Strong customer service orientation, logical reasoning, and a highly collaborative mindset are essential to success in this role.

Job Expectations:

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with finance, clinical (quality, safety, etc.), and operational teams to understand analytic needs.
• Translate complex business questions into structured documentation and clear technical requirements for ETL and BI development teams.
• Develop and maintain robust metadata and data dictionaries to support data governance and transparency.
• Profile and analyse data sets from Epic Clarity, Caboodle, and other clinical/operational systems to ensure quality, consistency, and usability.
• Document business rules, data transformation logic, and validation criteria.
• Act as liaison between business users and technical developers to ensure aligned expectations and successful solution delivery.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test cases and validating outputs against requirements.
• Contribute to data governance and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and proposing enhancements.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support ongoing data literacy and adoption of analytics solutions.
• Stay current with healthcare data trends, Epic reporting tools, other reporting tools such as Power BI, and emerging analytical and ETL/ELT practices.

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfil Job Responsibilities:

Required

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare, analytics, IT, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience working in data analysis, business analysis, or healthcare analytics roles.
• Deep understanding of healthcare data, terminology, and workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle data structures.
• Strong SQL skills for profiling and validating data.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation (BRDs, data dictionaries, process flows).
• Experience working directly with business users, including finance, clinical operations, and report developers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Work history in healthcare delivery systems or academic medical centres.
• Experience with Epic's Clarity and Caboodle data models, Epic's reporting tools (SlicerDicer, RWB, Radar), and general analytic tools such as Power BI.
• Familiarity with medallion architecture and dimensional modelling
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing and project management tools.
• Experience collaborating within an SDLC framework or agile project delivery model.

License/Certification/Registration

• Epic Clarity Data Model certification (e.g., Clarity Data Model Inpatient, Ambulatory, or Revenue Cycle)
• Epic Caboodle Developer or Administrator certification
