General Manager - w/ Sales & Operations Expertise

Salary: $140K - $170K + Bonus Potential and Relocation Assistance

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead our hotel to new heights. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and proven track record in driving sales. With a focus on creating an unparalleled guest experience, the General Manager will be the heart and soul of the property, ensuring smooth daily operations, and implementing effective strategies to maximize revenue and brand growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Supervise all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of guest satisfaction, ensuring exceptional hospitality at every touch point.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes and systems to optimize operational performance.
  • Ensure the property complies with all local laws, regulations, and standards for safety and hygiene.

Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Drive hotel revenue by implementing innovative sales strategies and fostering business development.
  • Identify and secure partnerships with local businesses, travel agencies, and corporate clients to enhance occupancy rates and increase bookings.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to capitalize on opportunities and adjust sales tactics to meet market demands.
  • Monitor performance metrics, such as ADR (Average Daily Rate) and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), to achieve sales targets.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing team that reflects the boutique hotel’s values and commitment to hospitality excellence.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and professional growth.
  • Set clear goals for department heads and provide constructive feedback to optimize performance.
  • Lead by example to instill a culture of innovation, guest-centricity, and continuous improvement.

Guest Experience and Brand Management

  • Oversee the guest experience, resolve any complaints or issues promptly, and ensure lasting positive impressions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to establish and maintain a strong online and offline brand presence.
  • Design and promote unique guest experiences that align with the boutique hotel's identity, elevating its reputation in the local and global market.

Financial and Strategic Management

  • Develop and manage the hotel's budget, ensuring profitability while adhering to cost controls.
  • Forecast revenue and expenses, adjust strategies as needed to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Collaborate with ownership and stakeholders to align business goals with the hotel’s long-term vision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Service General Manager or senior leadership role in a boutique or luxury hotel setting.
  • Strong background in sales and revenue generation with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
  • Excellent understanding of hotel operations, including knowledge of property management systems and hospitality software.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to market trends and challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Proficient in budget management, financial planning, and analysis.
