Job Description

The Rohde & Schwarz Texas Production and Integration Center (TPIC) produces custom integrated RF systems. We deliver turnkey RF solutions to various customers ranging from the commercial market to the aerospace and defense sectors. Our systems are integrated into a wide variety of solutions including EMC anechoic test chambers, vehicles, and ranges. We are looking for someone to join our world class operations team to continue to deliver these high-quality products. This individual will be joining our production team and will focus his/her talents in the work center responsible for production of RF racking/cabling and delivering system support devices. They will be responsible for executing against our existing build and delivery processes. Working within our continuous improvement program, it will be important for this individual to use LEAN practices to help meet our customers' requirements.

Your tasks

• Perform rack and stack installations of various RF components, such as coax, connectors, grounding, cable supports splitters, fiber optic cable, CAT6 cable, and other components.
• Read and follow wiring/routing diagrams.
• Route and connect all cable connections as required.
• Follow company standards and procedures
• Use of crimpers, screwdrivers, drills, laptops, digital multi-meters, label makers, and ladders.
• Use basic hand tools and material handling equipment
• Utilize and learn LEAN practices into daily work including, Kaizen Events, A3 Documentation, 5S practices, One Piece Flow and others.

Your qualifications

• Trained in ESD safe handling techniques.
• Troubleshooting experience, ability to identify faults in products/process.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with both internal and external customers.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written)
• Ability to fabricate and test RF and Data Cables is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work within a Quality Management System is a plus.
• Working with an ERP/MRP system such as SAP is a plus.
• To be considered, candidates must have US citizenship or permanent work authorization

The total compensation for this position is $44K-$63K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
