Salesforce Developer – Contract, hybrid, 20 hours per week
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Type: Contract (20 hours per week, W2 only, no third parties please)

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Salesforce Developer to join a collaborative IT team supporting a range of business operations for a public sector partner. You'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and improving Salesforce applications used to support enterprise workflows and customer-facing processes.

You'll work closely with end users, analysts, and technical team members to translate business needs into scalable, reliable Salesforce solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both heads-down development and collaborative problem-solving in a structured yet flexible environment.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and support applications on the Salesforce Platform
• Analyze and interpret business requirements, translating them into technical designs
• Work through the full development lifecycle (requirements, development, testing, deployment, and documentation)
• Provide technical guidance and end-user support as needed
• Contribute to platform improvements and process optimization

What We're Looking For:

Required Skills:

• Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining Salesforce applications in a professional setting
• Strong understanding of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and platform configuration
• Familiarity with agile or iterative development methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience in testing and troubleshooting applications

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning within Salesforce
• Ability to assess the impact of changes on existing workflows and integrations
• Prior experience delivering end-user training or documentation
• Comfort working with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and provide guidance
