Position Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Ads Data Science team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in data science, analytics, and machine learning. You will help optimize Reddit's advertising platform through data-driven insights, experimentation, and advanced modeling.

As a key contributor, you will work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other data scientists to identify growth opportunities, define performance metrics, and build scalable solutions that directly impact business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data science solutions to improve advertiser experience and overall ad platform performance.
• Build data products such as dashboards, data pipelines, and self-serve tools for cross-functional teams.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover actionable insights and performance trends.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define project requirements and translate them into measurable goals.
• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms for anomaly detection, forecasting, and pattern recognition.
• Drive A/B testing and causal analysis to assess feature impact and optimize decision-making.
• Clearly communicate findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

Required Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science or machine learning.
• Strong background in statistical modeling, causal inference, and experimental design.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive; familiarity with BigQuery is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, including use of libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in online advertising or ad tech.
• Expertise in designing and analyzing A/B tests and experiments.

Note: This is a fully remote position with no travel or overtime requirements.
