Job Description

Job Summary: Chevrolet Cadillac of Santa Fe is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipment and receipt of automotive parts and accessories to and from the dealership. This is an individual contributor role and reports directly to the Parts Manager. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive salary and benefits package. • Receive, track, and distribute all incoming shipments of parts and accessories
• Verify accuracy of shipments and report any discrepancies to the Parts Manager
• Inspect all parts and accessories for damages or defects upon receipt
• Ensure all received parts are properly labeled, stored, and located in the designated storage areas
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments of parts and accessories
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of shipped and received items
• Communicate with other departments and vendors to coordinate timely shipment and receipt of parts
• Keep the shipping and receiving area clean and organized at all times
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in the automotive industry
• Proficient in MS Office and computer systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record
