Overview

The Rug Cleaning Assistant helps the Rug Cleaning Specialist process and clean area rugs. There are also times when the Assistant will be on the road helping with pick-up and delivery of rugs to our customer’s homes as well as to our outer stores. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in the cleaning and processing of area rugs in our cleaning plant.
• Assist in preparing the workspace for the daily activities associated with rug washing.
• Assist with maintenance of the equipment, filling out maintenance request forms when needed.
• Assist Specialist in prepping rugs for cleaning.
• Work with Quality Control inspector to finish, roll and store completed rugs.
• Assist customers dropping off or picking up rugs, as needed.
• Participate in keeping work areas neat and well maintained.
• Fill in as a delivery assistant when needed.
• Work as a shuttle driver to our outer stores when needed
• Other duties assigned by Specialist or Manager.
• Work in other areas of the company when not needed in the Rug Cleaning Plant.
